Skipping Applied Economics today felt good! :D
Now to make sure that it doesn't become a habit.

Prof T, in a random moment during history class: "Yeah all you undergraduates should watch (some film starring Sigourney Weaver). It really shows you what Sigourney Weaver was like early on in her career, before all those movies... Alien, Aliens, and... More Aliens? Aliens Return?"

And -

It's amazing what financial freedom has done to my fiscal responsibility (haha), i. e. flushed it down the sewage to Cayuga Lake. Crazy, I realised, not just simply because credit cards and checkbooks (chequebooks for the anglophones) give me a false sense of importance and wealth which is freely expressed through Amazon.com and assorted other online shopping temptations, but because yesterday I was asking J if I could camp out in her room for a weekend after the dorms close this summer and actually thinking to myself, "Actually it doesn't matter, maybe I'll just stay in New York City until E comes back."

And New York City, we know, in addition to being the World's Financial Capital and Where Capitalists Dream Big And Make Bigger Money, is also The Black Hole Which Sucks Dry The Contents of Christina's Bank Account. RIP Christina's Visa, 2005-6.

I'm not alone in this; E's lack of an American roof over her head is actually bringing her across the Atlantic and then back to meet me and fly to Europe again. I know there's an article in today's STI about making economics a compulsory subject at A-Level. I think they should give all potential university entrants a class in personal financial management and then grade it for college admissions purposes :P It'd look great on the resume because, you know, at least companies then have faith that you know how to manage someone's money starting with your own. (:

Because "HIS.T 396 is a lot of work, you know... It's not the kind of course you can start studying for like two days before the final", this'll be all from me until the final, or Slope Day, depending on whether I survive this weekend (TK.E P.layboy Mansion pledge party and the infamous Jungle before) and the next (Fffffrench and haute couture with Sunny).

A bientot!
