A quick post before I run off to breakfast, just to let everyone know I'm still alive:
For most of PREPARE I forgot to bring my camera around, so the only photos I can present you of our gorgeous campus were taken when I was walking back to North (Freshman Central) from M&T Bank, which is now sitting on
most all of my money.
Click
hereA note to Hwei and other shopaholics (Pet, Zhuang, maybe Sheryl, definitely Pei Ying) who might possibly have sympathised with my plight- P (for Pyramid) Mall, the biggest in Ithaca, is not so bad after all! (: It's like a one-storey Paragon with Abercrombie & GAP boutiques and even SEARS. The only grumble I have about it is its dearth of grocery stores, which meant I had to trek up a slope to TOPS to get any food (speaking of food, I can just feel Freshman-15 creeping up on me). But most of my friends here aren't into extravagant spending on clothes, and w.r.t. my current financial situation ($400 sunk into my Verizon cell line) I suppose I shouldn't be either.
In a Junwan-inspired move, a couple of us skipped OL meeting yesterday night and vegged out in Shanon's room where the Chemical Engineers stressed out about courses. The thing about being a Singaporean is that you feel compelled to do that thing and graduate in three years and hot-foot it to grad school, and already I can feel my previous resolve melting (ES and Estelle where are you?). The terrible thing is that everyone else (all hail Science students) have around 30 credits plus one summer session- and me, the lowly Arts student with my paltry 17 credits, am looking at a possible maximum courseload plus summer school, which is no fun.
If I don't get to talk to you (the 12 hour time difference makes MSN-ing a problem), bon voyage to all of you leaving for the US in the coming week. It's really quite an experience, do remember to walk up to people and introduce yourself, be grateful you don't have to transit in 2 American cities like I did, and have lots of fun- and take lots of photos(:
Love you all and miss you muchly!
