I haven't seen Serene in eons, but as always she's got an uncanny knack for hitting the nail right on the head:
sometimes i think we are way too short-sighted- there's still a whole life ahead, and whatever we earned for ourselves now may mean so little in the end. i was watching coach carter, and i remember the principal saying something about how for some of the players, high school basketball season will be the highlight of their lives. well, i don't want to look back and think that this was the highlight of mine.
