While waiting for my first paycheck, i.e. going to and from work every day, I just realised that I already paid quite a bit to SMRT. Talk about autonomous comsumption?
I'm in the office right now, and contrary to what everyone said to me during my first week, I am not busy. As you can tell. I am very idle, and am now reduced to WebMessenger while keeping an eye out for permanent staff just in case they discover me idling. My vision (haha I just discussed the meaning of the word with Wenyu) of myself in the next six months- I foresee myself undergoing severe mental atrophy due to my IQ-numbing veggie existence at work, punctuated sporadically with numerous trips to the pantry and extended lunch breaks to China Square and the fabled Rotiboy.
Unless, of course, those payslips come in- which happens just about after CNY I think, so I have to keep myself from being stupid.
Or unless Hwei Ching (who is very busy) outsources her jobs to me :)

My fortune cookie said,
take a break.
True enough, my boss(es) at work today were too busy to tell me to work.
:)
The "Golden Kiwifruit" candy I brought from NZ has succumbed to 24-degree-heat and melted into a sugary mass with little kiwi seeds. I tried to break off the little kiwi slices that CW likes so much, but short of hitting the jar with a hammer or throwing it off my 15th-storey balcony the best I get is little sugar-flakes and the occasional little kiwi seed. See!
