LIBERATION!!!
In the three-plus skin-cancer-inducing hours in Serene's pool today, I have achieved the following:
1. Swum a grand total of maybe ten metres. So much for my exercise regime.
2. Watched Zhuang Hui get thrashed in table-tennis by Huixin, Serene, Chengwei and Sheryl. In quick succession.
3. Sniggered with Jo at ZH's repeated self-denials: "
Oh... Huixin's been defeated! Who wants to be my next challenger?"
4. Participated in a sorry attempt at water polo.
5. Fought water wars with Esther, Serene, Sheryl, Jo and Pet.
6. Endured Eng Siang's taunt, "
I bet you'll all be damn roasted!" ten times.
7. Got damn roasted.
8. Consequently caused Serene and Eng Siang to win the "I-bet-Christina-will-get-the-worst-burn" game.
9. Been christened Lobster by ZH.
That, in addition to feeble attempts to play table-tennis and learn mahjong, made for a beautiful sunny first day of real freedom, if you exclude items 6-9.
Damn shit. Parents won't let me to for post-promo-party-stayover. I hate to say this but I get the feeling I'm being reduced to the same state as dear Huixin!!! The horror!! I hate hate hate being treated like a little kid. For goodness' sakes.

I am so so so so so glad history's over!!!! I don't think studying for any exam has ever been this exhausting. Talked to Fuzzy on the bus a few days ago, and we agreed that you really need mental stamina for this-- and especially to keep thinking and writing and writing and writing... ah well it's OVER!!:)
Can't believe my parents are letting me go to DC. It's a helluva lotta money, but then again I figure it won't make a difference if I can't get a @#*&@ scholarship:( Am going to STUDYSTUDYSTUDY!!!! Mug all throughout the hols. Or maybe half the hols. Shit. I was telling Eng Siang I need a study role model. Maybe I ought to get in touch with Audry again?
Going to Orchard again made me realise how boring it really is... I mean, window-shopping is fun and admittedly there's probably no better stretch to do it, but when you're all sian-ed out, like we were, you end up sitting like bums outside Heeren and getting fleeced for donations. Or roaming through the Versace, Jean-Paul Gaultier (Eng Siang: "
It's not that high-end, right?"), Prada, Gucci and Calvin Klein underwear boutiques in Paragon. Or walking through a million surfer shops looking at poseur-ish shirts a la Zhuang Hui. So, to quote Estelle, "
We really need to find something else to do other than go to Orchard."
