Damn it I want to watch 15!!!! Royston Tan's really good at making films-- Mother, Son, and the coffeeshop film are all masterpieces in their own right, but 15 left the deepest impression on me. Wish it wasn't cut. I mean, as Kumweng said, "They think it's inappropriate for fifteen-year-olds to watch a movie about other fifteen-year-olds." It's almost like denying their very existence, which is what the film is not about. Maybe you're protecting audiences. Ultimately you're just preventing them from finding out what really goes on in our society.

Saw the 25-minute version on Thursday, and my first reaction: "It's not that bad what." I mean, it's even funny at times, with Vynn telling his friend, "Eh, ni3 bu4 yao4 gay wo3 leh."=) And I'll always remember the world record breaking multilingual swear marathon!
It's the kinda movie that really makes you think... After N levels, I go ITE, then I go army, then I work until I die. If I'm lucky, then I get married. If we don't get along, we divorce. Eternal friends and foes do not exist, our friendship is only as good as it lasts. (the gross Barbie doll). Gangs. Tattoos. Drugs. Cigarettes. Family. School. Brotherhood. Life. Death. Are we really that different from them, or are we really that alike?

Hahaha. I wish I'd stayed a lil' longer at NYDC yesterday. The waiter's damn funny.
First he tells Eng Siang not to hang out with Pet, Sheryl or me because we'd sell him to Thailand for a sex change (so sth along those lines). Then,

Waiter, to Eng Siang: "Hey, yandao."
Sheryl, horrified: "What?! Are you crazy?"
Waiter (deadpan) "What, are you blind?"

I also discovered that eunuchs don't get castrated. Gee.

Argh okay. Back to Middleton.

Two cents' worth.
Serene: "I discovered MSN before Sheryl discovered her keyboard."
